The value of the Cash Option comes out to be the amount of money the Lottery would have to invest in the current money market in order for that money to grow to the advertised jackpot amount over a 30 year period (annuity length for Powerball Jackpot). Winning tickets from the Pick 3, Pick 4, Cash Ball, Win for Life, Powerball, 3 Line Lotto and Raffle tickets are valid for 180 days from the date of the drawings. Scratch-off tickets however, are valid for 180 days from the game's end date.
